At check-in you will be given a wrist band. You will not be allowed into transition without the wrist band. You will not be allowed to remove your bike unless the wrist band matches the number on the bike.
Transition will close at 6:50 AM. At this time, transition will be cleared of all athletes until the race begins. Relay partners may reenter the transition area once the race has started. All relay exchanges must take place in the transition area. Do not impede the other athletes during the exchanges.
Bike racks will be numbered and you will need to rack your bike in that location. The “downside” wheel must be on the same side of the rack as the number.
Read and understand the Rules; The link will provide a basic outline of the rules and how they will be interpreted. It is your responsibility to understand and follow the rules. If you are not clear on any of them, contact the Race Director before the race.
Body marking will take place near the registration tent on race morning. Your number will be marked on both shoulders. Your age will be marked on one calf. Your race number must be visible at all times during the bike and run portions .
Chip timing by Its Race Time, Inc. You will pick up your timing chip near the entrance to transition. Wear the chip around your ankle the entire race. For relays, the chip must be passed to the next member of your relay in transition adjacent to the rack where your bike is assigned. The chip is your relay “baton”.
After you finish, your chip will be retrieved near the finish line.
