The Race Committee knows, the athletes all know and the spectators know: Without volunteers, we may all just as well stay home. This race nor any other race can not be successful without the tremendous effort of all those who volunteer their time to help. No one associated with this race is making any money from the race. From the beginning, we decided that we wanted to put on a high quality Olympic distance race and that we were not doing this to earn money. There will be countless hours put into the planning, organizing and running this race but we can not do it without you, the volunteers.
